Yellow Warbler (not to be confused w/ the Yellow-rumped Warbler)

The crop of the fourth shot is beautiful . I just love the pose and the natural setting that really compliments his color.

Very nice shots of a beautiful bird! I like the tighter crops. For me, he almost gets lost in the wide shots--not that they are bad. But I like him up close so I can see him!

Thanks Chris. I am glad that you like that image. I too think it turned out well. That Yellow Warbler is certainly one fine looking bird. And it is always better when you have a good subject to work with!

Thanks Dennis. I agree that the tighter crop looks better but that was cropped from 3456 x 2304 down to 1000 x 800. That's a very tight crop in my book and pushing the limits of distortion of the image. I either have to work at getting closer, focus on larger subjects or get me one of them big mama lenses like a 600mm or the Sigma 300-800. Right, like I could afford one of them!

well dome Ed Happy May when the world is ruled by warblers. I got a butter butt (yellow rumped) and a Yellow this morning with a Black and White warbler in the middle. Lots of little happy birds almost all with some yellow here for the next two weeks.

Thanks Wayne. Thanks Sam. Well so far, I've gotten some good photos of the Pine, Yellow-rumped, Yellow, and Black and White Warblers with hopefully more to come over the next couple of weeks. Time to have some fun.
