Thanks mate. Haha I wish I had some GND's...

Just HDR mate. didn't actually think these would turn out at the time but I guess they did.

Too bad I'm selling the 400D and 10-22 very soon. I'm going to miss it.

Well if they're both HDR, kudos to you. They look so natural. IMO that's exactly what HDR should look like. Great composition and photo, with the HDR bringing out the detail in highlights and shadow. Doesn't look overprocessed. So many seem to use HDR to make a crap photo look good. These are great photos made even better. :)

Why you selling the 400D and 10-22? Upgrading? What WA lens you going to? You seem to love it and have a knack for it.

But I digress - back to the 10-22 archive shots :)

Thanks mate. I started out very tonemapping happy. But I've since calmed down and prefer to make them more subtle.

Well funny story my best mate just bought a 5D, He's had it 1 day and now I've decided to buy one. I'll most likely just buy a 17-40 to use with it because I don't think I can stretch to a 16-35...

Now back to the pictures...

how many swimming pools does that boat have?

I think there were at least three ... two outdoors and one in.

The ship was the Diamond Princess, which we took on an Alaskan cruise in August 2005.

That actually looks great for your first. It doesn't look too overdone but the sky does look little fake.

Keep it up. :)

+1

On a scale of 1-10 for an HDR, I would call this a solid 0. I like it because its not obviously HDR -- I could be convinced it was just awesome light and talent!

Until now I had been playing a bit with my brother's lens, mine came in on Thursday. The weather has been terrible and today it was rough shooting. Drizzly, blinding, white, overcast sky...Had to get out and take a stab though. Not really archive material but what the heck.
