It's a very handy focal length.
It does make you work for some of the shots though, which is good!

No shot info on it tho. Most importantly, did you shoot this at the Minimum Focus Distance? Im kind of on the fence between this and the Tokina 11-16.

It was shot at 10mm, f/4 and 1/1000s. Must have been quite near or at minimum focus distance as the ball, or at least the remains of it, was almost touching the front element.

For these kinds of shots the 2.8 of the Tokina 11-16 doesn't help much. It's 10% narrower at the wide end and it has also 14cm longer MFD, so this would've looked a lot differend if shot with it.

Bunny, thanks for your explanation. I think this shot has single-handedly pushed me over to the Canon side of the fence!:D
