Gisli, those are superb pictures! I'll venture a guess: Land of the Midnight Sun?

Okay, it's your fault guys! I ordered a copy of the Canon 10-22 on Thursay and it just arrived. The first sample shots look ok, no de-centering or whatsoever. Now the weather just needs to clear up and then I'll hop into town and really work the lens! I need to learn how to use it properly by next weekend ... then I'll go to Paris :)

Like I hoped the rain cleared away yesterday and here is one of the shots taken with my new lens (Frauenkirche zu Dresden = Church of Our Lady, Dresden, Germany). It was completely destroyed during WW2 and was rebuild since 1990 and was finished in 2005.

And it is the first time I've been able to take a picture of her in a whole ... the other lenses just weren't wide enough :)

Nice shots Pete, watch your horizon in the 2nd shot. Need to get an UWA, eying either this or the Sigma 10-20. Jealousy and envy are overwhelming me...

Hi Brad,

Can you please explain what you mean by "watch the horizon"? I know you are referring to the composition but is it the angle of the horizon or the vertical placement of it in the shot?

Do believe he means the wonky horizon, sadly it can't be fixed in PP, I either lose part of the boat or to much sky to try and straighten which is a shame :(

But thanks for the comments :)
