would anyone trade/sell their 10-22mm for a 16-35mm?

im wanting the constant 2.8 compared to our 3.5-4.5 which i hate in all honesty.

any advice/suggestions?

You'd have to switch to a FF body first, otherwise you've got a completely different lens.

F/2.8 is not often required in UWAs; why do you feel you hate f/3.5-4.5 at these focal lengths?

Favouille 83, did you have a filter on for that shot? The 10-22 would not normally give that amount of flare, even with the sun in the scene.

Nop, no filter at all ;) And i usually have way more flare, i just don't know what happened here ^^

i mainly take pictures of people indoors with it. i never use my 18-55. i dont like it. so i use my 10-22 @10mm for automotive stuff or just scenery and @22mm for people sitting next to me in the car or across a restaurant table. i dont like it because if i switch from 10mm to 22mm the pictures always get darker especially in low light areas like a restaurant or inside a car after dark.

im planning on going FF in the future but that could take maybe another year. maybe just hold off on the zoom purchase and go for the 24mm f/1.4? like i said i love it at 22mm so why not the 24mm where i can use it wide open!?

Mine's given that type of flare twice since I've had it, its quite unpredictable and very uncommon at least for mine, but really annoying when it does happen because you expect it to be performing as per usual, but instead end up with lots of flare spots.
