I think i asked on your other photo too, what was the exposure again? : ) I usually use the same settings every time for these shots and they work pretty well. 25 sec, ƒ/4, ISO 3200, 10 mm. I shoot 25 seconds as at 30 seconds there is a fair amount of trailing, although some calculators reckon you can go 31 seconds at 10mm (16mm on FF) before you start seeing trails? I usually stop down to ƒ4 but ƒ3.5 on this lens is still pretty good 6D x 2 | TM SP 35mm ƒ1.4 | 50mm ƒ1.8 | 85mm ƒ1.8 | 24-105mm ƒ4L USM | 135mm ƒ2L | 200mm ƒ2.8L II | 17-40mm ƒ4L | Sy 24mm ƒ1.4 | Sy XP 14mm ƒ2.4 Flickr

You can leave it off and use on both the APS-C and FF. Or you can pull the ring off for FF and put it back on for Crop. It just takes a few seconds.

I have the ring in my bag with me, and would put it back on if I wanted to sell the lens. But there is no way to tell if the lens was ever used on FF if the plastic ring has been reinstalled. Oh awesome! I'm getting a 6D soon and don't really want to fork out another grand or two for another UWA lens when I already have a good one now. 6D x 2 | TM SP 35mm ƒ1.4 | 50mm ƒ1.8 | 85mm ƒ1.8 | 24-105mm ƒ4L USM | 135mm ƒ2L | 200mm ƒ2.8L II | 17-40mm ƒ4L | Sy 24mm ƒ1.4 | Sy XP 14mm ƒ2.4 Flickr

The mirror in your 6D will likely get destroyed.

angryman Senior Member More info | Bought a used version of this in immaculate condition, but soon realised it wasn't suited to the 1D. So i busted out the faithful old 50D from the closet, and it's now a dedicated wide angle body. Took it to the shed and put it through it's paces...i can see myself having fun with this.
