I agree great images in here, still torn between this lens and the 17-40 although leaning towards this lens at the moment

If I was looking for something in that FL for a crop camera, I'd look at the 17-55.
I'm going to be in the US for three weeks starting the end of this month, and the 10-22 is on my shopping list.

I'm of course staying with crops - I don't have any plans for a full frame.

Wonderful contributions by all.

I just returned from a week of hiking in Glacier National Park and this trip I used my 17-40 f/4L one day. The remainder of the trip was relied on by this superb lens and my 24-105 f/4L when needed.

1. Tree in the middle of a VERY old Indian cemetery. Most head stones are just rocks, some dated are in the 1800's

You'll find getting good exposures with this lens is a bit tricky, especially when there is so much sky.

Hi Matt - Noted that B&H says not for FF cameras like the 1d series. Assume on the 5D there are no issues?

The 5D is a Full frame camera so it will not work. The EF-S mount is designed for the rebel series, and 20/30/40D.

Actually, I like the overhanging tree in the forground for some perspective. But if you don't, you could take it out with the clone tool in about one minute. Beautiful color in that shot!
