Spent a week on Mull, cottage we stayed at had hardly any light pollution so did some star trails. This is one hour exposure (or 3627 secs!) at 4.5 ISO 100, the lights in the cottage were turned on for just 5 secs to give some foreground interest. The static point is the pole star.

I too enjoyed viewing them all. My favs are the first beach image and the shot with the houses and lobster cages in the foreground. Great contrast!

Fell in love with photos.. made lots of money.. fell out of love with photos.. took a long break.. trying to find my love again.

Great images, all of them! Turning on the light inside the cottage for 5 sec while you set the exposure for one hour was pretty neat. I'll have to use the same method. The image with the lobster cages made a dull day into a spectacular shot. I also liked the B/W image a lot.

Family weren’t too thrilled to be in a cottage that was pitch black for over an hour, having to go to the toilet in the dark - torch was out of the question.

It took a while to set camera up and focussing was an issue, to make sure I got focus correct I bumped up the ISO to 1600 set lens at widest 2.8 and took a 30 sec exposure and checked to see was ok and then I did the 1hour shot on settings I mentioned in post. Saves the anxiety of being unsure about composition and focus, and the family would have killed me if I messed the shot up
