I want to build a site but I don’t have a big budget. I would need an easy to use provider, possibly with a site builder so I wouldn’t have to mess around with HTML. I’ll also need somewhere that will provide hosting. Any ideas? I’ve looked at Clikpic but it looks a little expensive for what it is. £95 for three years then another £6 for a .co.uk for two years. Let me know what you think. Thank you!

It depends on what you want from a website.

You have to register a web address and you cant for free. Well YOU can, but you are asking someone to do it for you. Whats £6? You can also find companies that host FOC too, my ISP does on smaller sites.

If you aim to sell prints then £95 is very little, you are aware that Clikpic do a one year option for £35?

Personally I think all Clikpic's sites look the same, the advantage of writing your own in html is that you use software that came free with your computer and you can have a site that does look like 100's of others.

I have tried a few, I have found ETRIBES nice and very easy, you can try it for free with limited storage, but it will give you an idea of what it can do, I upgraded fairly quickly. You can store shed loads of pics and mp3 there is also a blog and uploading from a mobile is easy, take a look. I'm not savvy enough for a flashy site, but this is mine

I use CS2 to make my flash galleries, its hosted on 110mb.com (no ads) and the domain costs £10 a year.
