OK, the title should tell you I'm not a twitcher. I was on a visit to Cornwall photographing surfers when I saw this little chap/chapess, it looked different to all the Gulls which is what drew it to my attention. Any chance of an ID.

While I'm on this section; not living near the coast I'm used to seeing swans on and around fresh water, is it just as normal for Swans to be on sea water.

Gwynn has nailed it, its in winter plumage, and you have a canny photo there Mick.
Yes swans can be seen on the sea though freshwater is there preferred habitat.
