Scottes recently posted a series of shots of tree swallows that had congregated on some bushes. While out on the weekend I came across about 300-400 individuals feeding en masse in flight. Every so often they would rest at the top of some trees.
The lighting and angle was bad but I managed a couple of shots on the Bigma mounted on a monopod. These are cropped to about ~40 of full frame. I'm posting them just for the behaviour that these shots represent.
If you look closely you'll notice a couple of barn swallows in the centre of the first shot.
1. Taking a break
2. Taking off for another feed
