When you upload images from your camera, everything is auto rotated. For the first time this weekend I tried a card reader and none of the images were auto rotated. What am I missing?

Sorry, I don't have that problem. Do you shoot RAW, or jpeg? What are you using to view the images after your donload from the CF card?

The files in particular I shot in JPEG but I usually shoot RAW. I've been using Zoombrowser to transfer the images, and I view them in Bridge.

I guess Zoombrowser was doing the rotation for you, using the camera's sensor information stored in the EXIF data to adjust the orientation. When you use a card reader, you just copy the files bit-by-bit, so they come as they are stored in the card.
