Hi and thanks in advance for sharing any insight you might have , I hardly ever take people pics but recently a new neighbour has asked if I would take some pics of her adorable 15month old toddler and to be honest its great practise for me too. My PP skills are poor too so I really would be greatful for comments on what I have done or indeed should have done and missed.
Its natural light and was a bit underexposed , came out quite noisy which I removed and then replaced some at the end to give texture back , she has child eczema on her cheeks too which I have tried to remove along with crumbs bt of snot and minor scrapes , I left the dribble as I think its cute , she has amazing eyes so I wanted to make those stand out with everything else soft.
Anyhoo sorry for rambling but as I've said its new territory from me and I woud value your thoughts.
regards
John

John, very good capture, shots like this doesn't need much work in pp, or maybe shooting in portrait format would reduce negative space around her face, while capture more of her forehead and hair.

I'd keep the first one, the pinkish tone doesn't suit her beautiful eyes :)

Thanks for the comments sGu, the original was indeed shot in portrait (see below with just a raw conversion) and I got a nice pic from it , I did really like the look of her face in it though and wanted to try to use it to do something else and indeed use it to practice pp , I peffer a more natural look myself but wanted to try different things also .
Not much love for the pink look then:lol:
