Wednesday May 2nd, I go in for a Spinal Decompression(Laminectomy and Micro Diskectomy). Hopefully, I will back in full force soon after the surgery. I don't know how long it will take me to get back on the forum. I will be on till tommorow at least and then we'll see from there.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Good luck. Must be the day for surgery. I'm going in to get both knees done at once.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Good luck to you, Bernard.
You too, Sheldon. Mom got both knees replaced 3 years ago. I spent a week in Florida helping take care of her right after she got released.

Wow, both knees. I can't imagine your pain. I wish you the best of luck with your surgery. I have had some sciatica and weak knees from not walking much, I know how aching knees feel, but to have to have surgery must be real bad. I can tell you, I feel for you. It must be really hard to walk. I hope Everything goes well, and you get lots of good pain meds so you are comfortable. I am on some serious pain meds. I can't wait to get off them.

Thanx, Sheldon, Tom and Jim. I appreciate it. I am going to go nuts away from the forum. My fiance said she will post for me if I start going through withdrawal.

Good luck to you both!! I had a laminectomy in 1992--best thing I ever did. I waited too long, really, but the pain relief was immediate. Haven't gotten to the knee thing yet--hoping to avoid that one.

I've had an L4-L5 double diskectomy. It was pretty crazy how fast I was up and walking about. But my right leg will never be the same.

I can only say, do the physio and keep going. Never fear any pain from your back as it will just me muscular, not mechanical. Sleeping properly for the rest of your life is key to keeping the muscles happy. This surgery really disrupts the muscles and you MUST be nice to them.

people will always try to stop you doing the right thing if it is unconventional
Full frame and some primes.
