Yellow Warbler (Part II)

Next evening. Same tree. Probably the same bird. Again I am including the moderate and heavier crops for comparison. The "moderate" crops are of a size that I am comfortable printing a 10x8 from. I'm afraid the heavier crops would begin to pixelate at a 10x8.

Anyway, C&C would be appreciated.

By the way, these are the only three images that I took tonight (of the bird that is; I took two of a ground hog watching me watch the birds ). Lest anyone suggest I get closer, I am on one bank of a small mill race stream and the tree on is the other. So I am as close as I can get.

Very nice shots. Yellow warbler in a colorful Crabapple tree...can't beat that color combination. I think the crops work really well, you can still see lots of flowers. The lighting is really nice too. Hehehe, and I love those Groundhogs..they are so photogenic!

Thanks Bob. The Warbler shots are a result of doing some of things that we've been talking about. I been setting up with the sun behind me so I've been getting good late afternoon/early evening light. And I've just been watching these trees for activity. Camera is on the tripod. And I am ready to go. I just wish I could get closer shots without necessarily having to go to the Kenko 1.4x TC. Oh wait, I know... that 600mm lens is looking pretty good right now. Or maybe the Sigma 300-800. Yeah right, like I could afford those!
