Hello Everyone, I'm new to the forum and love the pictures. I would love some C/C. I wont get offended, please give me your honest opinion, even if you don't like them. These are my first attempts at photographing wildlife. While on a vacation in Big Bear, CA I decided to go on the balconey, sit still, and try to coax some birds to fly by a designated spot. I achieved this by placing peanuts on the railing, and boy did they come LOL...:D

I was about 10 feet away, manual focus on the peanuts. These were shot raw and cropped, sharpened, and boosted some saturation. Two reasons for the manual focus:
1. Max burst rate.
2. Not very confident in my camera/lens focus speed and accuracy.

Sorry if the pictures aren't large enough. Photobucket won't accept high resolution photos.

I'll post some vacation photos next...in the appropriate forum of course..

Very nice shots. Jays are cool and will get quite brave at times.

Good start. it would be easy to clone out the peanut in #2 and it would look like Jay is just squawking.

Welcome to the Forum. A great series of shots. Amazing what a few raw peanuts will attract. Your focus and exposures look right on. Keep on shooting and sharing.
