Well here is my first real attempt (with some decent results) at photographing birds. This Mourning Dove put on quite the show for me this weekend and this is one of my favorite shots.

May 01, 2007 08:13 | #3 The thing I don't like about the picture is the fact that he would not come out of the shadows, so the picture came out darker than I would have liked. I am sure I will be able to edit some in Photoshop but I need to remember how to achieve that effect. Nan

I have not used one but have followed several discussion threads on the topic. Bill
