That was fantastic !, now if the snake had gotten away, (or finished off the heron :() I think you could have replaced those "never give up" posters that feature the frog and the heron. :D

Thanks to everyone for their kind comments on this series. It's funny how when you're out shooting, sometimes the most unlikely shots become the most revered. When I saw the GBH in the field, he was so far from me I knew any shots I took of him standing there would be nothing exceptional, especially with the lousy background.

But when the bird slowly began crouching way down low--this changed the possibilities and I knew something was about to happen so I kept my lens pointed right at him. I started shooting when he lunged for the snake. Right place, right time. Glad so many of you enjoyed this series.
