Here's a couple of favourites from my trip to Alaska last August. The seond one was taken while on a flightseeing trip.

I must admit I do have something about glaciers. At university 30 years ago, I studied glaciers and the landforms they create.

yeah, do you have a larger version of pic 1, love the ice, did you go much closer or prefer to stay out of harms way?

The bigger version looks great, maybe crop out the ice on the bottom left/center to make it look cleaner

Thanks for your comments. Calicokat I have made some adjustments to the photo and yes it does look better.

Here is another photo of the same glacier (the Mendenhall Glacier is just a short bus ride from Juneau). The blue colour of the ice is remarkable. I was very surprised to see just how blue it was.
