How can one put a bunch of pictures together like a collage and make one image out of it. Not necessarily overlaping them.

Do you mean using small pics to be used as pixels of one larger pic?

I want to do the same, but dont have enough PS experience

i had a program once, MGI Photosuite gold i think it was, it did that, you opened up your photo and one click and it would use its own stock photos to make the picture..took awhile but it was really cool!!

Hi,
Thats a cool mosaic but that's not what I mean. I just want to take about 6 photos of small objects and make it into one picture so you can see all six at once, say 2 rows wide and 3 rows high or something like that. =Tom

Something like this

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

the upper part specifically?

If so, just size the photos you want to use, then create a new image in your software of the size you want, select the entire image you want to move and move it to the new picture. Arrange as disired and your good to go.

If you want to make a collage like the above:
1. Create a new file of the desired size (this will be called big collage)
2. Open all photos that will be in the collage
3. Copy paste photos onto big collage making sure each is on a new layer
4. Ctrl + T will allow you to resize reposition
5. Repeat

or if you want to combine the elements from different photos to make 1 photo, it gets more complicated. I use the pen tool to create paths to extract, masks to cover, and a ton of other tweaks.

if youre looking to make a "contact" sheet, in PS, go to (i think) file>automate> contact sheet.. then just fill in the info as in how many rows, how many pics per row / page and navagate to the folder the shots are in and then just pick the shots and hit ok.
