Hello everybody. I have a passion for birding photography and it looks like I have come to the right place. :D Here are some recent shots from over the weekend. All shots were taken with the Canon 20D + Canon 70-200mm f4 USM. Post processing was done with Photoshop CS2. Exif data intact. I was worried that this lens would be too short of birding, but it surprised me.

1) Snowy egret quietly gliding over the water.

2) A great egret coming in for a soft landing.

IMAGE: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/191/479321898_63e9954c40_o.jpg

3) A lesser Goldfinch male. These guys are so tiny!

4) An American Crow with a morsel in it's mouth.
IMAGE: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/187/476327718_4d806d7ac2_o.jpg

5) A Red-winged Blackbird male trying to scare off some competition.
IMAGE: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/167/476319706_d1e7674a1b_o.jpg

6) A tree swallow. These guys are so hard to capture. They have such erratic flight patterns.

7) Some ducklings.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice series Hung. You've got the whites and blacks down pat. Very well done.

Wow.....You really got some impressive shots.....great first post. The one of the Tree Swallow really gets me. They are so incredibly difficult to photograph in flight (I know, I keep trying). I also really like the one of the Goldfinch....such a beautiful little bird.
