The Cosina factory that used to make these Voigtlander lenses is apparently now producing Zeiss lenses. Previously I posted a thread with some sample photos from this lens. Have a look if you like: LightWorks Portfolio

Nice lens but very expensive. Did come in an EOS mount. Cheapest I could find one was $800. Photozone.de has done a review. It is sharpest wide open or stopped down a bit but loses IQ sooner than other lenses stopped down more. Tempting but too much money for me. GEAR LIST

But just a month or so ago I could still find new pieces for sale at Ebay for around US$600. And CameraQuest sells them for just slightly over that...not anywhere near US$800, unless prices have gone up since the supply started to dry up. LightWorks Portfolio

I'd be curious to find out how your 135L compares and if you end up preferring one over the other.

All that said, I use my 135L frequently as the AF is useful when I don't want to try and focus on quick moving subjects (such as my dogs). I've never really done a comparison and as I lost my extension tubes this spring, doubt I ever will. Both are great lenses; each with some advantages. As I shoot this FL frequently, I'll probably always have both.
