1D MkII software - Views

As many of you now seem to have taken delivery of your MkIIs (some of us still have 2 weeks to wait) Any views on the included software. I know that the software that came with my D60 did not spend too long loaded on my PC as it was replaced by BB and then Capture One.

Any views on the bundled stuff that comes with the MkII greatly appreciated.

I havent' used the DPP for conversion of Raw files yet, but it loads fast and shows images in the file browser fast. It also lets you adjust curves in the Raw conversion. It looks really good!

I used the software for viewing and I love it. You can change the size of the thumbnails, it is easy for browsing.

I haven't edited the photos, I still us Photoshop CS. I will try it sometime and see how good it is.

My first impression was, WOW!! Now, I am oh no. I liked my work flow downloading my files using Zoombrowser and then opening them up in Photoshop CS. Now, I have to open them up in Canon's MKII software convert the files to TIFF and then they will automatically open in Photoshop CS.

It is different and I rather it was the old way. None of my other programs work with these new CR2 Raw files, like Zoombrowser on Photoshop without the conversion. I didn't try Breezebrowser yet but I am sure it doesn't work either.

The new way requires more disk space. I have to save the original file and then convert to TIFF. It might be the same process but a different way but it feels like crap to me.

I want my Zoombrowser back!!!
