Quick Q. I created an account on Photobucket and dumped a load of stuff from a very tasteful nude shoot into it, sent Cyberdine Systems the link to ask for advance access to the G&N forum. I've just been back to it to find three of the images have been censored as they're in violation of Photobucket's terms of use.

I can't see out of the shoot why those particular images are worse than the rest in the account so am half expecting the rest to vanish. Anyone aware of any hosting site that is happy with nudes being hosted from them for usages such as this? Free is better, as I only use these accounts solely for linking to in use on forums.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers, Dave.

wouldn't want you to wait any longer for an answer. so i will say that you probably wont find a free service to host nudes, maybe a printing company like shutterfly.

Your ISP has webspace for you. Why not use that?

Maybe you should look at spending a whopping $3 a month for web hosting. godaddy.com

edit: wait a sec, you have a website. Why can't you create a sub dir there?

people will always try to stop you doing the right thing if it is unconventional
Full frame and some primes.

Good points. The way I've seen photo hosting sites is that they make it very easy to use the images you upload, and turn them into embedable links using the

tags in forums such as this.

Being perfectly honest I'm not sure or certain that if I create new webpages on my site that aren't linked from within the site, how I make those pages in such a way so as to allow me to use embedding as mentioned above. I'm just not switched on enough with web design. And I've also found that those inclined enough to go snooping around your website and rooting through directories will do so at will, and I'm in a bit of a quandry as to whether I want temporary images or 'non-folio' images anyway, easy to find for people willing to snoop.

For that reason I've been using photobucket for the more temporary and mundane photo hosting needs, away from the site, but they've obviously taken offence to one or two of the current lot, hence the original post.

I'm open to suggestions as to how others would approach this.

Cheers, Dave.

Flickr does, but you have to make the pictures private - you can still post them though.

<lightbulb goes off> !!! ;)

If you're posting and embedding from a private section of Flickr, does the embedded image have to be given access or by embedding it does it assume you're giving access to those viewing it? I've signed up for a Flickr but haven't put anything on it yet... it's on my list.

I'm pretty sure the when you list a photo as private, it only makes it to where flickr searches won't see it and only flickr members you authorize can see it. I'm pretty sure the imbed works. At least the URL would.

And you can't from your own site? Wow! I had no idea! Why didn't anyone tell me that when I started posting pics of mine using bbcode tags back to my server. I must have imagined being able to see them.

Ok, so enough of the sarcasm, you can do exactly what you want with the

tags hosting your site anywhere in the world.

Also, all these sitebuilder websites are great - to begin with. Then you start to spot the templates and know the difference between someone who's spent time or money (or both) working on creating an individual site.
