Well, a couple hours ago I was worried about ever seeing one, now I've got one not 15 feet away who could care less if I take his picture, with or without flash. :D

Thanks Downy and Trevor. I'll be looking for him tomorrow for better shots. These were shot directly into the low sun, so I'm surprised they came out at all. More surprising though, he was totally unconcerned with me sitting in the window not 15 feet away. I was even talking to him. :)

Very nice...and close! I used to watch them at my birdfeeders when I lived in PA and thought it was funny how they'd kick their feet in the leaves to move them around to the seeds that dropped on the ground. I also love to hear them sing!

Mitch these are very nice. I'm still hoping to add shots of this species to my collection.

Thanks Mitch; They've just showed up recently; so keep an eye open; they may be coming through.

Hey Mitch; What did I tell you...;)

Well done...!

Thanks Michelle and Stephen. Michelle, these guys do jump forward, then back, dragging their feet, then look to see what they turned up. It's fun to watch and I wish there were some way to catch it in still photos. Stephen, they are headed your way. I've been watching the birding list and reports are showing them all around here now. It won't be long. :)

Hey Ted, not the first time that's happened. Maybe I ought to ask for a Golden Eagle? ;)

Thanks Dazzy. I talk to them cause it seems to calm them down. I guess they think if your talking, your not sneaking up on them or something. Anyway, they seem to like it. :D

Thanks David. I shot these right before sundown and am already watching for his return for some shots in better light. :)

Thanks Jason and Sindri. I've been watching but he hasn't returned yet today. Would be nice to get a few more. :)
