I just wanted to express myself. Last night was bummed about some moon shots that i was doing because they were coming out too bright so the moon was washed out. So i jump online did a search here for the moon and after about an hour of reading got the info i needed ran outside to try out my new found info and came back with some nice shots even with some overcast but I just gets me ready for the full moon in a day or two. Also props to those who suggested the manfrotto 488RC2 this little unit rocks

Give it a while, maybe a month or two, you'll see, it will be the same stuff over and over again. Not b/c I'm a negative person, but because I'm a keen observer. Don't get me wrong - it's got great information - but after the 3rd time - it's old!

Enjoy!

You're still here though Jim. Granted this forum moves a bit slowly but it has actually picked up speed with all the new members. I always find that I find a thread or two each time that keep me coming back. They either teach me something, make me laugh, or give me a chance to help a fellow member. I'm still a newb, but I read a lot and take a lot of pics. I'm hoping to work my way up to being a fairly lousy photographer soon.

Canon 40d, some lenses, lots of odd accessories - some of which I never use.

You're too nice. :)

I was thinking more on the terms that when one gets tired of reading a certain book, they ought to put it down and get another one to read.

Myself, I still enjoy reading this one and probably will for a while.

I try, but occasionally, I speak out.

I don't think we're boring. We're many thing in this forum, but boring generally isn't one of them. Unless one sees my 380EX comparison pictures as boring. I can't see how.....

Boring, no !
I joined this forum a little more than a week ago, and I spent hours on it every day (I have a full time job, too....with an internet connection at my desk, thank God :) )
And someone mentioned that this forum's kinda slow, but started to pick up speed.... I'm having trouble keeping up with it lol
Anyway, I'm happy to be here, learn, and share the trivial amount of knowledge that I have.

Thank you Pekka

The question I have is why would anyone continue to frequent a forum they find boring, or old? Just doesn't make sense.....if it bored me, I would simply quit reading it.

Sure, sometimes the same questions and topics come up over and over...show me a forum where that doesn't happen. I either just blow past them or, if I feel like it, I check it out. If there's something a little different about it (as there often is), I read and maybe respond. If it's really the same old thing, I just move on to the next topic.

It's all voluntary......

Some of the site veterans are like old farts sitting around recalling war stories and making fun of each other.

I'm trying to think why I shouldn't be offended by that remark.

I am not like an old fart.

I AM an old fart. Please don't make that mistake again. (speaking only for myself, of course):x :x
