Give it a while, maybe a month or two, you'll see, it will be the same stuff over and over again. Not b/c I'm a negative person, but because I'm a keen observer. Don't get me wrong - it's got great information - but after the 3rd time - it's old!

You're still here though Jim. Granted this forum moves a bit slowly but it has actually picked up speed with all the new members. I always find that I find a thread or two each time that keep me coming back. They either teach me something, make me laugh, or give me a chance to help a fellow member. I'm still a newb, but I read a lot and take a lot of pics. I'm hoping to work my way up to being a fairly lousy photographer soon.

Some of the site veterans are like old farts sitting around recalling war stories and making fun of each other.

And many of those site veterans (I refuse to use the latter terminology) either make this forum what it is.... light hearted and informative. Boring no.

It's the best...

Even when it gets grouchy I'm still glad to be together

Yep, this is definitely the best forum. :D Some others have some seriously knowledgable contributors but also some real grumpy people.

I believe that thing that makes this forum so good is, it is simple. Not to overly filled with useless graphics. Most people here really want to learn and there aren't many EGO-MANICS here.

A lot of people here also have high end gear, not TOO much jealousy.

Pekka's has a nice, clear and clean format. Pekka's is very knowledgeable and a gifted photographer. He has a nice sense of style and doesn't micro-manage the site either. People are free here.

We stand up for each other and we are honest with each other too.

This site has a strong standing in this digital photography community because of people like us.

Thanks goodness Pekka made this wonderful playground for us.

This is one of the few forums where the post "DO A SEARCH" is thankfully absent.

Well, it's rare but it usually comes with a bit of advice tacked on.
