Not every shot needs this action. I have to remind myself that not all shots need special effects. I am sure you already know this but sometimes people get carried away with something new. I often blend it with the original at 50% opacity to reduce the effect, and apply a few other random things to make it stand out a bit more. I find that cityscapes come out particularly well. HERE are three shots that I took in Seattle and processed with that action. .

Like radtech1 said............cityscapes seems to work well and some portrait will create a nice dreamy effect but its a hit n miss type effect. I use Nik software it has like 5 different midnight effects with color variations. They have a demo available that I tried first and then months later felt it worthy of purchase. I have alot of control of effect l usually apply full effect then lower opacity in layer to taste.

Strange though...when I run Midnight Gold or Midnight Blue on a largish tiff image, Photoshop CS2 shuts down and can't complete the action. Midnight Sepia is okay though.
