This little blue heron was perched on a branch in some very differcult light. The sun was filtering on the back feathers, but the head was slightly in some shadows. I pulled the better beamer out of the bag, popped it on the flash head. I was pleased with the result. Shot with 20D and 100-400, 580EX Flash with Better Beamer.

its a flash extender. a fresel lens that goes in front of the flash to refocus and throw the light a much futher and more focused distance.

Wow...fantastic shot of this beautiful Heron. Excellent results with the Better Beamer under difficult conditions. Outstanding work as always Keith. :-)

Best regards

Sindri

I picked up mine here (external link) with an extra fresnel. One word of caution, these things can melt your flash gun if left on with the sun in front of you. I usually leave the bracked on and keep the fresnel in my shirt pocket in the case.
