We see them all the time, yet it takes a picture like yours to make me realize just how pretty a bird the House Finch (Purple Finch) really is. Based on the shape of the bill, my vote goes to House Finch.....the Purple Finch has a more triangular shaped bill....but I'm just guessing. LD, or Mike
