Here is my situation that I am trying to get around.
I work at a plastics injection moulding factory. We make nearly everything you could imagine in the electronics, military, automotive, house hold, etc, etc.
I do the product photography for promotional and work instructions.
As we manufacture several of the same parts, but in different colours, I find myself photographing the same part in various colours, this becomes time consuming and a bit of a pain in the rump.
Without having PhotoShop at work to do colour swapping are there any other solutions?
I use acdsee at work for quick edits, but it fails to have such a feature.
I have searched for a small program that only does colour swapping (hoping for freeware), but found nothing.
I tried the cameras color swap feature as a solution, and it would work as I could reference against colour swatches in my light box, however, I need manual settings to get proper exposure, so that is not a proper solution.

Ideas… other then PS?

If it's that much of a PITA, I'd take my laptop to work? (Consider this a bump!) ;)

Taking more of my personal stuff to work is not an option.

If the issue with PhotoShop is primarily because of licensing cost then you might consider the GIMP as a free alternative.
