A few shots from my recent visit to see my daughter in Cornwall, she took me on some really nice walks along the cliffs where the tourists don't usually venture. I have to keep my surname to my self when I'm down there as Emmett is the Cornish name for an outsider/redneck. Hope you like the shots, they were taken with a 100-400L IS on a 1DmkIIn and a 17-40L on a 400D. They've lost a little in the re-sizing process but still worth a look it think.

NIce shots. It's about time I visited Cornwall again, I haven't been down that way for a few years now. It's a beautiful county.

Yes, very nice and a beautiful part of the world. My son and his wife honeymooned in England and started in St. Ives. I had been to Devon and Cornwall some years ago and recommended the trip. Very nice shots.

It's a great place during the colder months but during the summer it's just one big tourist resort and you won't catch me any where near it if I can help it.

Nice to see Kynance Cove looks nothing but angry yet again.

Your daughter wouldn't be at the college in Falmouth would she? My sister graduates there in six weeks or so, and I shall be taking the camera. :p

Cheers, Dave.

Oh! how I wish she was at the collage, then there would be a chance she would eventually be returning home and to my beloved Yorkshire. Unfortunately she went down to complete a Pharmacy course and fell in love with a guy from there; so that's it, it saddens me greatly when ever I think about it but I fear she has gone for good. If you go to Kynance Cove while you're down there I recommend you take your own food as the Café wanted 8 Quid for 2 tea's and 2 small pasties, sorry that's the Yorkshireman in me coming out.

So here we are nearly at the top after climbing up from Kynance Cove, I have a large pack on my back with my gear in it; a second bag on my shoulder with my pro 1 in it and spare batteries. I've got the 1D and 100-400 around my neck the 17-40 on the 400D also round my neck with a Manfrotto 055 Pro tripod on the other shoulder and here's the wife asking why I'm lagging behind and telling me to get a move on :D :D :D

I was brought up in Derbyshire, my dad's a Yorkshireman, that made me giggle. Every time I go down we end up at Kynance and The Lizard. The old man who runs one of the shops on the green at The Lizard does wicked home made ice-cream! :)

Hoping to hunt out a few new locations when I go down, though I'll only be there for a few days, as well as return to Chapelporth Beach and Cape Cornwall... Any tips on open beaches or slipways into water etc would be welcome from anyone! :p

Cheers, Dave.

Sorry Dave but it looks as though you're already familiar with the places I went whilst down there, the only other place I went of any interest was Sennen Cove just North of Land's End, I got some reasonable surfer shots there if you're in to that sort of thing. I posted a few at the link below.
