Busy Little Goldfinches

Last years cattails make great nesting material. I only saw one male and the rest were females, not the best shot on the male. The females were doing all the work, I guess that's how it goes. These were all shot with a 500/f4+1.4 and cropped 25%.

Oh god, you've left us all vulnerable with that "females were doing all the work" nonsense... Nice shots, though. I looked at those birds with mouths full of cattail fluff and instantly needed a drink of water. Talk about cotton mouth!
