Gull shots are great. I practice on them quite a bit. They are great for improving my bird in flight photography techniques. If you want to try, bring a bag of bread to your local pond and start attracting some gulls. They will swoop down and hover, giving your ample opportunity to get some great shots of them in flight.

Gulls are interesting birds, well the scarcer ones are anyway, this is a Herring Gull and a bit too common to be interesting, but good for practice!

Good Photos.

Check out your local Gull patches from next Autumn on (or even now, as some winter visitors remain) for Iceland, Glaucous, Mediteranean, Ring Billed, Franklins, and Laughing Gulls, all of these occured in some numbers this last winter.
