These are the last of my shots from our outing last weekend. Probably some of my best eagle shots so far. And very similar to some other shots you've seen recently. :)

Hi Downy. There's been a lot of effort here to protect them and their numbers are increasing. There are over 30 nests on the Island now. Glad you like my photos.

Excelllent, Shirley! Getting them close to the nest sites does make them less inclined to spook immediately.
We had better start to plan our next outing.

Very nice shots Shirley. I'm starting to get the eagle itch again. I wish all that cold didn't come with them. :)

It has been above zero here for a few weeks Mitch, even above zero in celcius :D. Only snowed once in the last week or so. The summer months we average around 20-26 celcius I think, a few days hit 30+, and it gets humid.
We are still below the Igloo latittudes :p

Thanks Dan. I was surprised that we got that close to this one. And I agree, we better plan cause you know where the time goes if we don't.

Hi Gary. There must be eagles in the Ottawa area. Check with your local birding association or some birders in your area. This is the best time of year to find them because the chicks are starting to hatch and that means the adults are looking for LOTS of food.

Have you checked out this site? http://www.ofnc.ca/birding/wheretogo/index.html (external link)
