G2 Software Help

Hi guys,

I got the G2 following my last post 8)

I'm loving it, but the seller shipped the wrong software.. I got the drivers for the EOS 10D, but not the G2, so I downloaded the WIA drivers from Canon's website into the existing Canon folder. However, the does not seem to help; when I try to upload via the USB cable, it says "Camera Not Found." Any tips/help? Thanks

If you use Windows (you did not specify your OS, however this is well known problem with SP3 for W2K), go to Control Panel -> Scanners and Cameras. When connecting the camera to your computer (switch the camera to Remote mode) you should see your camera like Powershot G2. Click Properties -> Events and you could mark all the program you want to appear in download pop-up window.

I would recommend you to use Breeze Downloader (free sw from www.breezesys.com) and also Canon Raw Image Converter (still available on Canon download page) or Breeze Browser. Check my previous post:
