I have been watching these guys come by this spot daily and mostly at the same time. They usuall cross the water here to get to a small island across the lake. This gives me time to set up, read the paper and wait. They came as usual. Here a few from yesterday mourning.

Looking for gators, they can't be fun especially for the little one

Checking the water, it feels fine.

Very nice catch Keith. Must be nice to know they are on the clock. :D

We have them here now, but I've only seen them at very long distance, although they sounded like they were right next to me. Got to be the loudest and noisiest bird alive.

The last shot as a very unique Sandhill Crane shot! Baby cranes make me laugh everytime I see their disproportionate legs!!

thank you kr I'm a sandhill crane nest monitor for Ohio. The few resident sandhills about 15 pair have an almost impossible time creating new cranes here. My pair is in their fourth year of eggs down and failed nest. All shots are well done.
