Different fonts in post headers...

Could someone explain to my why there are different fonts in the subject lines for posts? In looking though the various boards, I see some subjects are in a bold Times New Roman style style while othere are in a non-bold Arial style font. Is there some reason for this, such as length to time the thread has been up or the number of responses? It's confusing...

The title look differently depending on the read status. You can tell if you have read the thread, not read it or if there are new posts since you last read it.
