Anyone able to get the paper/printer profiles to show up in the print dialog box (HP 8250). I have been working with HP now for weeks and nothing.

They said it was a CS2 and Vista problem. So I upgraded to CS3, the same thing. It has to be the updated drivers/profiles It also is appearently giving a false reading on the ink usage. Before I got new computer with Vista everything was working fine. I have printed several prints and the ink usage showed all ink as 100%. As soon as I got the new drivers install one ink went to about 30% and all other still show 100%. That can't be right either.

I am not sure if you are having exactly the same problem I had but maybe it will give you something to go off of. I have an epson R800 and the paper profiles were not visible in lightroom or CS on my new Vista machine.

I had to reinstall each profile and several of them would not install properly. It took several installs to get some of them to load properly. When you go to the control panel, color management, and then select your printer are the profiles there? If not click on the ALL PROFILES tab and scroll all the way through the list. Are they there? If so try to use the add button to add them to the printer profile.

Hope that helps.
Mel

Mel,

Thanks for your input. When I go to the Control Panel and click all profiles they are not listed. Sounds like this means the new driver/profile did not install them properly???

Trying to get HP to help, but that is like pulling teeth. They never seem to understand the question.

The printer worked fine in XP, but since getting new computer with Vista and then downloading the new drivers/profile from HP still now working.
