Grackels, Kestrel, Female RWBB, and a Robin hard at work.

Took the picture of the Robin and the Kestrel a day or two ago, The grackles and RWBB were from today.

Nice series Trevor. I 'd guess the sparrow is a Savannah, but I'm not sure. I like #1--were you hand holding the lens or was it resting on something for #1? #5 & #8 are quite good of the grackle. This is a bird I have yet to photograph.

I like the first grackle shot. Kestrels are tough to catch, aren't they?

the peeping robin is the shot for me with the oof b/g and f/g and no.5 for that classic pose. very nice trevor

I would guess the sparrow is a Savannah, but I'm no expert on LBJs.
Great one on the Krestel. I havn't seen one since that one on the wire when we were out, and I'm nearly going off the road watching for them. Guess I should have snapped that one.

Shirley, next time we get out, we will have to make Kestrels a priority, shouldnt take too long to find one on a wire, and I want a good shot of one.

Nice series Trevor with the Robin being my favourite...a smile maker that one The first Grackle image works for me as well. The Kestrel is one tough bird to shoot and super hard to shoot in flight. The sparrow here is a Song Sparrow I think. The Savanah has a yellow to whitish eyebrow and no spot on the breast.
