Does anyone know if it's possible to export a slideshow from Lightroom with music? You can add music and play the slideshow within Lightroom but the export creates a PDF with no music and the timings are ignored as well.

What is the best way to get a slideshow (on the Mac) from a select group of images with music with timings and fades I establish?

No you cannot.
I don't know for certain the answer to your second question, but I didn't see how to do that.

For The Mac : use idvd or iphoto. iphoto would be easier but not as precise and idvd would be more precise but not as easy. If that makes sense.

You could probably also use the video software that came with your mac. My understanding is that you make a slideshow, save it as a video file and import that into idvd. In idvd you can do all sorts of tricky things and there are also some cool templates.

hope this helps

If you have already made a slideshow....you need to save your final product as a video file

I use 3 main programs. Muvee, ADOBE Premiere Pro and LR Slideshow. If you're technically proficient then Premiere Pro can produce a feature film. If you want to do the minimum required but with an excellent output, Muvee is great. If you want to be able to show at the wedding with a quick dump and burn, LR.

According to Scott Kelby's Lightroom book. After you have exported the slideshow as a pdf, you can open the file in Adobe Acrobat Pro and add music that way.

I should mention, I've not done it myself as I don't have Adobe Acrobat Pro...

Yes but once it is in PDF format the timing and crossfades can't be adjusted. If they can please enlighten me.
