OK was bored at work the other day so made use of our showroom and the Corsa VXR.Been playing with HDR and also the Lucisart plugin and have posted a couple of shots.

First is the straight HDR of 5 RAWs combined and tonemapped in PhotomatixPro

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO


Second one is the above HDR but also processed in Photoshop with the LucisArt plugin using a combination of the Exposure and Sculpture settings in various strengths on seperate layers.

I love the first one... the 2nd one just looks a little too PPed to me.

I like the PP you've done with 2. I think HDR works well here too. the 1st one is subtle, and I like that.

Cheers for the comments,not to sure if you can do HDR in elements and i found that the convert to HDR in CS2 was not as controlable as Photomatix which after trying several programs came out as the best choice for me.Have got another version which is between the two and gives a bit more depth than the first image but not to the extent that it looks like a sketch as does the second image.


The equipment you'll leave at home will be the equipment you'll need the most!

Yes i dislike CS2 for HDR. Photomatix is great...except i still have the trial version :(
