Northern Bob Whites????

Found this pair out at the Viera Wetlands this afternoon. I believe they are male and female Bobwhite's. Cool looking birds that can really move around on the ground.

Looks to me like a good pair of bobs. Good find!

Thanks Jamie. I thought that's what these two were. You can hear them real clear when your driving around the Wetlands on one of the long dirt roads.

Nice pair of "Gentleman Bobs." In my opinion they are one of the prettiest of all the quail. This is one species of bird, where the male and the female, though colored differently, both display beautiful colors. I really like the female with all the yellowish tan color on her face.

Excellent shots Don. These birds were as common as ticks when I was a kid, yet I haven't seen one since I was a kid. These are really nice.

Man, the only way I would see these birds is if they moved while I was looking. They sure blend in. I haven't seen this bird in ages. Very nice shots!
