Thanks Wendy. I wonder if it is a female though because there is one about the same size that has 4 eggs in one of my geranium hanging plants on my front porch at this moment. Are females a different color ?

Nice shot of the Robin.
The females breast is dull coloured compared to the male.

Our robins are different, thats why I specially love the red breasted ones you have. If you are interested, on my site www.wendycainphotograp​hy.com (external link) is a bird album of mostly endangered NZ birds, all native to our country. You will see the tiny little New Zealand Robin in there, banded because they are endangered from introduced Possums way back. This was taken on a sanctuary island where they are doing very well as there are no predators and visitors are carefully controlled.

They are very cute and inquisitive, I was priviledged to get this guys photos :)
