Dove Closeup

This dove surprised me by flying to a small bird feeder...I have always seen them on the ground looking for seed that has fallen. He was approx 5' away from me on the closest feeder so I got a partial body close-up and cropped it even more. I thought the colors were interesting on a mostly beige bird.

That was my thought also. Similar to the green that comes out on the egret around the bill?

That's my guess. I know I have dove shots from middle of winter and the red skin by the beak is not there.
