Yesterday was a beautiful day for fishing the surf at Sandy Hook, NJ and the fishermen were out in force. But I bet none of them did as well as this Great Egret did. We watched him ply the waters in a tidal pond for quite some time.

I know the whites are still not perfect but I keep trying.

C&C Appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Four great shots Ed. Your EXIF shows your still using +2/3 EV. Try a minus value for whites.

Thanks Mitch. Thanks Ed. Thanks Wayne. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed these images. It was a kick watching this guy work and fun trying to capture the moment when he dunked. I like the way the splash of water turned out on these.

Once again, thank you for the nice words.

Great shots. Perfect timing. Did you get those in burst?

Actually while I had the camera set to burst mode, each one of those images was taken as a single shot.
