A Bird ID Please

I was having a cup of coffee this morning, and I saw this bird landing on my backyard tree, so I grabbed my 100-400 and started shooting away. Because I had no time to think clearly about the exposure, I pretty much messed up the shot. Since I shot in RAW, though, I was able to save the image a bit... At least I liked the bird's pose!

In any case, could anyone tell me what's the bird that I shot? It's very common kind that visits my backyard now and then....

This is our American Robin, a member of the thrush family. Not bad, you got some catchlight there, and the signature red breast.

You're right SYS, they're quite common. They can often be seen trying to catch worms wherever there is a patch of grass

Nice shot. I've been trying to shoot birds this weekend and man it's not easy. I did get a few robins, but the are quite approachable, most of the others run as soon as they hear I'm in the neighborhood.

Since I wasn't looking to shoot at all this morning, and knowing that as soon as I open the door the bird would fly away, I shot it through my kitchen window.

Not sure how there weather has been south of here, but hasn't been too bad here some sun and rain showers, I was able to get out to Cherry Creek Wetlands and shoot some birds (posted in other threads) and also got some soaked shoes -- those wetlands were REALLY wet today.
