I'm trying to decide which to use. I like the ease of Lightroom but feel that Capture has more controls. Have I just not learned enough about Lightroom? What works best?

I think it's the other way round.
LR has far more sliders and buttons than C1. Any way having said that I do know C1 does excellent conversions of Canon RAW files.

personally i think the main sellin point of lightroom is the library management ability. (i dont' really like it like that :P) i read somewhere that c1 gives better image quality (dunno, never tested side by side) lightroom is ok enough controls imo but it runs rather slowly... it's probably more about ur personal preference.

What you read about C1 quality is all true. I have tested and tried & once you set the exposure and stuff to your liking you can then do majority color work in Photoshop.

Honestly, I'm trying out Lightroom and I can't stand it, I lost my CD's that came with my Rebel XT, so I decided to give LR a try and to be honest I really don't like it. Its having all these problems with importing raw files from my camera, and the windows importer doesn't split up the files by dates, so if I'm shooting today and still had files from yesterday that I imported by didn't delete they'll be put into the folder for today. Yeah, I'm giving Canon a call tomorrow, hopefully I can get replacements...
