Courtship disturbance

I was observing a Brown-Headed Cowbird pair. As I watched the pair I saw the female appear nervous and the male start to puff up. Suddelnly a European Starling appeared. Hope you like the series, it was neat to watch the terrorital behavior of both the male and female Cowbirds as the Starling landed by them. CC always welcome. For some reason, the EXIF appears to have dropped from the uploads.

Great behavioral series, you caught a neat little series here., You have leaves allready ?

Trevor, Thanks for the view and comments. Yes we went for awhile with just a few buds on the trees and then suddenly the leaves burst forth. I have a shot of a Cardinal from about 10 days ago with just buds on the trees. Really is amazing this time of year.
