Ornage-Crowned Warbler

This little bird ran into my inlaws window Friday. My MIL came over and let me know so I could come take some pictures. I have started to only mark down birds I have sighted in my bird book if I have actuall taken a picture of them and positively identified them, since I am so bad at identifying birds ith my own eyes....LOL...anyway, this little guy let me hold him and pose him in differnt places until it got its wits about him and he flew off...

Neat series of a cool looking bird! I have one shot of this species and that's all it gave me time to shoot. I've read the same thing about the orange crown--usually not visible. Think I like #3 the best. Good work!

Very nice, its the first one I have seen that you can see some orange on the crown. Great opportunity taken.

I think it will show off the orange when it gets upset also. That is what the red crowned kinglet does.

Nice pictures. I did this last year when a hummingbird flew into the window.

Maybe he was mad and showing his orange crown cuz of his poor piloting abilities and the fact that he was too stunned to fly away from the big ugly giant with the black clicky box in his hands....LOL
